A computer is the first thing that comes to the mind for anyone who thinks of imparting knowledge through technology. Computers are used for to view study materials in different media formats. They can be connected to an external display device to show presentations, video slides or any other educational content.

A classroom computer can either be desktop or laptop. It allows the students to look for anything they would like to know related to their academics. Children these days use electronic gadgets to play, and it is a wise decision to engage them in electronic devices for in-depth learning.

iii. Clickers

Educators introduce a classroom response system, which is a set of hardware and software that promotes teaching activities in the classroom. Many teachers have chosen Class Saathi for making the classroom activity livelier. Class Saathi consists of clicker devices that can be used by the students to choose the answers to MCQs and a mobile/desktop app for the teacher to have a track of the answers chosen by the students.

A teacher can pos MCQs to her classroom via a computer projector. Each student uses a handheld transmitter known as a clicker to submit an answer to the question. Software on the teacher's mobile/computer collects the student's answers and prepares statistics showing how many of them chose which answer.

Bottom Line

Remember that using technology for the sake of using is such a waste. If a classroom environment, learning method and a teacher's teaching method don’t change by implementing technology, then there is something wrong from the root. Educators have to find an effective way to use technology in classrooms.

Boring and challenging subjects can be made more interesting and fun with virtual lessons. Creating a student-centered learning environment with technology and electronic devices is not easy. However, if you have the right resources and approach the task with thorough knowledge, then the results are going to be worth it.
